  • The N.C.C.A. has credentialed over 6,000 counselors since 1981, worldwide.

  • Internationally recognized as the best and most affordable counseling training available

  • In addition to direct enrollment the N.C.C.A.’s curriculum is offered by over 180 ministries, bible schools, colleges and seminaries across the U.S. and around the world.

N.C.C.A. Degree Transfer and Licensing Program

VBS train, certify, and license Christian counselors through the National Christian Counselors Association.

Vineyard Place Biblical Seminary is a Certified Academic Institution with the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA), the largest educational and training association of Christian counselors in the world.

Vineyard Place Biblical Seminary through National Christian Counseling Association offers training to Christian pastors, professionals, and laity in Temperament Theory & Therapy. Temperament Theory & Therapy is a Christian counseling method based on the Biblical view that man is directly created by God, in His image, not through an evolutionary process.

NCCA Licensed counselors are free to counsel under their local church covering without charging a fee. Obtaining an NPI number and business license will allow counselors to charge a fee and/or open their own counseling ministry. There is an urgent need for Christian counselors to be properly trained and credentialed. Having your NCCA credentials will ensure recognition within the community as a highly-qualified Christian counselor!.

The Vineyard Place Biblical Seminary and the N.C.C.A. administer all of the records transfer, matriculation, and coordination of the process with your selected college, university, or seminary. Upon completion of our N.C.C.A. Program you have the option to participate in the school’s commencement ceremonies or you may have your diploma and associated transcripts mailed to you.

N.C.C.A. credentials help from a personal, professional, and vocational perspective?  You may qualify to pursue Certification or License (only), License + BA, License + BA/MA, License + MA, License + MA/PhD, or License + Post Doctorate.  The N.C.C.A. curriculum is available online or offline via textbooks and printed study material with online testing.

The N.C.C.A. Licensing and Program consist of Phase I and II to meet the core certification, license, and degree requirements plus Phase III Advanced Courses to meet degree, advanced certification, and board certification requirements. The License + Masters Degree program has a thesis requirement which involves the preparation of 25 Case Studies based on the required Phase I and II Practicum.  The License + Doctorate Degree programs have a dissertation requirement which involves the preparation of 35 Case Studies based on the required Phase I, II, and III Practicum.

The practicum is to be conducted under the direction of an assigned and approved N.C.C.A. Certified Clinical Supervisor as a member of the Certified Academic Institution.  The Case Studies are to be prepared from interviews conducted with individual counselees/clients to whom the student has administered the Arno Profile System (A.P.S). Throughout the program, students will learn practical application of the A.P.S. and examples of case studies will be provided in the course entitled ‘Case Studies’.

NCCA licensing is not  the same as State licensing. NCCA licensing require church covering and ministerial credentials and is a faith based, temperament oriented approach to counseling using the APS.  State licensing employ secular therapy focused on humanism, which leaves God out of the counseling sessions.
